    This toolkit defines and discusses key concepts in gender and media and offers practical steps, tools, and strategies to apply these concepts.

    The toolkit has eleven modules, containing case studies, tips, and information on how to take action to change negative gender representation in the media. Modules 1- 4 build an understanding of gender and media advocacy  and introduce key issues. Modules 5 -10 provide the “how-to” of building gender and media advocacy campaigns. Module 11 is a glossary of key terms used in the first 10 modules, and a summary of the key points and issues.
