Farm Radio International is pleased to announce the publication of our latest Resource Pack. Our broadcasting partners have received copies of Resource Pack #106 by email and, as always, everyone is welcome to access our website to read or download any or all items in the Pack. Three of the Resource Pack’s 12 items focus on innovative ways to ensure that vegetable harvests last longer and create more income: through better drying, better storage, and better post-harvest handling and transport. The Pack features two dramas—one from Ghana on rice production, and one from Tanzania on soybean production. Both entertain as well as inform. The largest section of Pack 106 is devoted to backgrounders. We have six backgrounders on the following topics:

  • Soybean production
  • Post-harvest practices for cassava
  • Raising goats
  • Conservation agriculture practices
  • Tillage practices in Conservation agriculture
  • Rice production

Finally, we bring you a Broadcaster-how-to guide on a subject that is close to the heart of every farm broadcaster: How to interview experts. The BH2 provides tips and guidelines on how to run an effective interview—and is designed to be read by both interviewers and experts.
