World Water Day is March 22, 2013, with events taking place worldwide!

World Water Day is an annual celebration that focuses on the importance of fresh water, and advocates for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. This year is UN Water’s International Year of Water Cooperation and so WWD events are based on the same theme.

On March 22, the World Association of Community Radio Broadcasters will hold a Global Campaign for World Water Day. AMARC will work with partners online and around the world to coordinate an all-day internet broadcast that discusses issues related to water and the importance of water cooperation.

All broadcasts will be archived on AMARC’s site.
