Africa No Filter is offering an opportunity for journalists, content creators, podcasters, vloggers, muralists, and data visualisers to receive training, mentorship, content amplification, and grants. They are looking for creative ideas that can help explain how climate change, debt, gender, and fossil fuels affect people and communities across Africa. Selected storytellers will receive training in climate justice, data storytelling, and narrative framing before working with researchers and partners to develop accurate, engaging stories based on research.
Grantees will be selected based on the originality of their idea, relevance to Africa No Filter’s mission of storytelling beyond stereotypes, relevance to the gender-debt-fossil fuel focus and reach or standing within their platform or community.
The opportunity is particularly for storytellers from Mozambique, Uganda, Nigeria, Angola, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Tanzania, South Sudan, Malawi, and Zambia.
The deadline to apply is 25 September 2026.
