    UNESCO invites nominations for the 2012 UNESCO-IPDC Prize for Rural Communication.

    The prize rewards a pioneering activity that contributes to improving communication in rural communities (primarily in developing countries), empowering people, and giving them a voice to participate in their own development. It includes an award of US$20,000 and a diploma.

    The deadline for submitting nominations in English or French is September 30, 2011.
