The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists is accepting applications from professional journalists for its 2019 fellowship program. The fellowships are available to radio, television, print, and web journalists, aged 25 to 35, from developing countries.

Four fellows will travel to New York to report on international affairs during the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The fellowship will begin in early September and extend to late November. The fellowship covers the cost of travel and accommodations in New York, as well as a per diem allowance.

The fellowship is open to journalists from Africa, Asia, and Latin America / the Caribbean who are currently working for media organizations. However, this year, the Fund will not consider journalists from Argentina, India, Kenya, or Yemen.

Applicants must have good spoken and written English. Applications may be submitted in English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian. However, for newspaper clippings not in English, an English translation or summary should be included.

The deadline to apply is March 1.
