Each year, the United Nations Correspondents Association recognizes journalists worldwide who cover the UN, including its agencies and field operations.

To apply for this award, journalists should submit written and electronic works in one of four categories: written media (including online media), broadcast media, coverage of climate change, and coverage of humanitarian and development issues.

Candidates may submit entries to no more than two categories, with a maximum of three stories in each submission.

Entries can be submitted in any official UN language (English, French, Arabic, Chinese, Spanish, and Russian). Entries in other languages will be accepted, but must include an English or French translation. The work must have been published or broadcast between September 2015 and August 30, 2016.

More than $60,000 US in prizes is available.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 1. Entries should be submitted electronically.
