The next School of Authentic Journalism will take place in Mexico from April 17-27, 2013. The course is an intensive ten-day training in communications, strategy and tactics.

The program is aimed at journalists and communicators who report on and work alongside social movements, community organizing and civil resistance campaigns. It will also be useful for participants in these movements who write, blog, photograph, create and manage websites, or make video, radio, graphic design or political cartoons about these activities.

Previous sessions of the School have accepted some applicants who, with little experience but great potential, impressed the organizers. A good number of these individuals have gone on to do great work.

Applications are available upon request; in addition, candidates are required to submit an essay.

Deadline for applications: November 18, 2012.
