The Rory Peck Trust offers grants to freelance journalists and their families. The journalists may have been threatened, imprisoned, injured, forced into hiding or exile, or killed. The goal of the grant is to help grantees overcome a crisis and, where possible, resume work.

Financial amounts vary according to the circumstances of the applicant. Examples of grants include funds to cover medical and rehabilitation costs, emergency subsistence, legal advice and relocation.

Application forms are available in five languages, including English and French. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

If you are a freelancer or a member of a family in a critical situation, contact the Trust directly via telephone (+ 44 20 3219 7860 – UK landline) or email at: assistance@rorypecktrust.org
