The International Women’s Media Foundation is offering a Journalism Relief Fund for journalists who identify as females and who have lost work, been laid off, or are experiencing financial difficulties as a result of COVID-19.

Female journalists who urgently need financial assistance are invited to apply for up to $2,000 US. The fund will cover costs such as urgent medical care and mental health services, childcare, legal support, and living assistance to prevent homelessness or food insecurity.

Eligible women must be professional journalists, have worked full-time as a journalist within the past six months, and be a staff or freelance reporter in any medium with no other source of income. All applications must relate directly to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis in English, French, Spanish, and Chinese.
