Dear Network Partners,

The African Forum on Food Systems (AFS), the world’s largest gathering of its kind, is an annual event organized by the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA). It brings together nearly 6,000 farmers, policymakers, researchers, youth leaders, and civil society actors to shape the future of agriculture and food systems across the continent.

The 2025 forum will be held in Dakar, Senegal, from August 31 to September 5, under the theme: “African youth, spearheading collaboration, innovation, and the transformation of food systems in Africa.”

For the duration of the forum, Farm Radio International (FRI) will be launching a special campaign to amplify the voices of rural populations and extend the reach of the event far beyond the conference hall.

This is a valuable opportunity for you, our broadcast partners, to participate.

The AFSF Special Campaign is open to all radio, television, podcast, and community media partners who want to help share forum information on a continental scale.

To help you bring the event to life for your listeners and viewers, FRI will provide a real-time information package including:

  • Interviews
  • Roundtable discussions
  • Reports
  • Summaries

You can broadcast these productions in their entirety, adapt them, or translate them into local languages. Where possible, we will also share local language interviews with relevant country teams.

How to Participate:

To join us in this effort, please:

  • Broadcast shared audio interviews for your audience
  • Complete the form for each item you broadcast.

We are counting on your commitment to help give this major event the visibility it deserves! We will offer a certificate of participation to each participating partner.
