SciDev.Net invites all English-speaking journalists from developing countries who have an interest in science reporting and its impact on decision-makers to apply for the IDRC–SciDev.Net Science Journalism Award.

The award consists of a six-month assignment – four months based in SciDev.Net’s London office and two months travelling in one or more developing countries. It’s an opportunity to improve news and feature writing skills, and to gain a better understanding of how the internet can play a vital role in enhancing science communication.

The assignment will begin in October 2009 and run for six months (subject to visa). All travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses will be covered.
