We recently concluded an online discussion about Collaboration for effective rural communication services, hosted in collaboration with YenKasa Africa. This discussion will primarily take place via WhatsApp, with the English-language group bringing together more than 400 participants, and the French-language group bringing together 375.

It was an interesting and lively exchange about various ways that media and stakeholder groups such as farmers’ organizations, extension workers, researchers, women’s and youth organizations, and other civil society organizations can ensure rural people get the information they need to improve their lives and livelihoods.

Thank you to our resource people who supported the discussion:

  • Patrick Mphaka, Malawi, who has a long history in broadcasting and training broadcasters across East Africa
  • Josephat Mwanzi, Tanzania, former broadcaster and media trainer
  • Fridah Nkonde-Mubanga, Zambia, who works for the Non-governmental Gender Organizaton’ Coordinating Council.
  • Thomas Zulu, Zambia, former broadcaster and media trainer working with MISA Zambia.

Those who actively participated in the discussion can expect a certificate in the coming days.
