Just Communication (JustCom) is a new pan‑African movement strengthening public‑interest journalism and community‑driven communication. Incubated by Farm Radio International and now transitioning into an independent African NGO, Just Communication connects:
- 7,000+ journalists and communicators
- 1,500+ media outlets
- across 38 countries
Together, we aim to amplify community voices, support journalists, and build a stronger, more connected media ecosystem.
Option 1: Become a Just Communication Changemaker
Changemakers are individual journalists, producers, presenters, bloggers, and communicators who want to grow their skills, expand their network, and access new opportunities.
As a Changemaker, you receive:
- Training, tools, and learning opportunities
- AI‑supported research and content tools
- Visibility in JustCom directory
- Opportunities for paid participation in campaigns
- Access to a future job board and paid work opportunities
- Invitations to learning circles and exchanges
Membership cost:
Your first six months are free.
After that: $18 US/year, or $12 US/year with monthly auto‑payments of only $1 US/month

Option 2: Become a Just Communication Amplifier (organizations)
Amplifiers are media outlets that use their platforms to strengthen public interest communication, elevate community voices, and support inclusive development. They are the journalists and communicators who:
- Serve rural and marginalized communities
- Provide trusted information
- Support local dialogue and accountability
- Produce programming that advances justice, equity, and inclusion
As an Amplifier, your station becomes part of a continent-wide movement working to transform how communication serves the public good.
Amplifiers receive:
- Access to the full library of quality information and training resources at farmradio.fm
- New custom‑made resources, including a planned Daily information service
- Training, program‑planning tools, and learning opportunities
- A listing in the JustCom directory for visibility and partnerships
- Opportunities to participate in new programming and innovations
- A voice in shaping the future of Just Communications
Membership cost:
Your first six months are free.
After that: $36 US/year (in your national currency), or $30 US/year if you choose monthly auto‑payments (just $2.50 US/month). *Please note that for commercial media outlets, the fee is $60 US annually, or $4.50 US/month.

Option 3: Become a Just Communication Ally
If now isn’t the right time to join as a Changemaker or Amplifier, you are warmly invited to remain an Ally.
As an Ally, you will:
- Continue receiving resources offered through Farmradio.fm, including Barza Wire
- Stay connected to the Farm Radio community
- Receive updates and invitations to open learning events
- Be free to become a Changemaker or Amplifier at any time
