As the world continues to experience the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, violent conflict creates additional barriers to vaccination and recovery.

This resource produced by UN Women addresses the importance of women’s full, equal, and meaningful participation in responding to COVID-19 and in peacemaking efforts. The resource offers helpful insights on the participation of women in conflict resolution in the past, as well as guidance for how to ensure women’s inclusion in peacemaking during the pandemic.

The resource also covers the following topics:

  • How is the world changing due to COVID-19?
  • How is COVID-19 disrupting efforts to end conflict?
  • Why is women’s participation essential to achieving peace during and after the pandemic?

The resource is available in English and French.
