Are you a journalist who shows courage in the face of adversity? Have you or someone you know reported fearlessly on issues that matter to the public? The 2025 Nat Nakasa Awards for Courageous Journalism are now accepting entries!

Organized by the South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) in partnership with Sanlam, these annual awards celebrate the legacy of Nat Nakasa, a pioneering journalist who stood up to injustice during apartheid. The awards honour journalists who report with integrity, bravery, and a strong commitment to public service—often in difficult or dangerous circumstances.
