Like our Farmer story from Cote d’Ivoire, this edition’s Script of the week focuses on a village-based association that helps women members save funds for their needs through a revolving loan fund.
The short drama shows two women discussing the possibilities of getting together with other women in their community to regularly contribute to a fund which periodically grants accumulated funds to different members to purchase larger items to help them with their businesses. When the women in the community create the rotating loan fund, they learn how to address challenges such as repayment terms and other problems that can arise when setting up such a fund.
