Our news story from Namibia is about devil’s claw, an indigenous plant. The script chosen this week tells the story of how a female farmer from northern Ghana turns her life around by cultivating henna, another interesting plant. Both stories highlight how spotting an opportunity, and working hard to see it through, can bring success.

This script is one of the fifteen winners in the scriptwriting competition, all of which are featured in Script Package 90. The theme of the package is smallholder farmer innovation.
