Sara stays in school & Sara learns about health and nutrition at school

This edition’s Farmer story from Liberia focuses on the benefits of children reading along with their parents, especially girls. Our Script of the week features two short script that highlight the importance of girls attending school.

When girls go to school, everybody in the family benefits. If children in the family have a basic education, they can help their parents on the farm by reading information about new farming practices, and by reading instructions on seed packages and fertilizer bags. They can keep basic accounts for the farm business. This will allow farm families to increase profits and improve their lives, and to learn how to prevent illness and take care of sick children.

These two scripts could be used together or separately. They tell parts of the same story in a different way. Sometimes, presenting similar information in different ways will reinforce your message.
