In this week’s story from Comoros, Mr. Tabibou receives a loan to help start his business. The farmer was able to successfully repay his loan within only one year. But farmers sometimes have difficulty paying off their loans.
Our script of the week is a short drama. It illustrates the kind of problems that can arise when farmers get a bank loan, but do not recognize exactly what they need to do to repay the loan on time. The drama illustrates some basic problems and offers good advice. It’s the story of a woman who received a loan to start a small business selling rice. In the drama, we hear from the woman and from her loan officer.
