Farm Radio International has selected eight African broadcasters for special training at a two-week workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The broadcasters are drawn from four countries and have a range of broadcasting and teaching backgrounds. They will become FRI’s first training team in Africa. After the training, they will be available to spend one month at a time in FRI partner stations to help produce high quality farmer-focused programs. The training which began on 21 March and continues until 1 April, is being led by David Mowbray, FRI Training and Standards Manager, and Doug Ward, Chair of the FRI Board.
