Dimitra is a project of the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organization. It highlights the role of women as producers, and helps make their voices heard nationally and internationally. According to its website, Dimitra is “a participatory information and communication project which contributes to improving the visibility of rural populations, women in particular.”
Dimitra produces a newsletter twice a year that provides information about project activities. An article in the June issue features Farm Radio International’s experiences with Freedom Fone and participatory radio.
