The 25th annual World Press Freedom Day will take place on May 3, 2018. This year’s theme is “Keeping power in check: Media, justice and the rule of law.”

UNESCO and the government of Ghana will present an international conference in Accra covering topics such as:
• Transparency of the political process
• Independence of the justice system
• Accountability of state institutions
• Challenges of ensuring press freedom online
