Twenty radio spots about indigenous peoples’ rights

Do you want to learn more about the rights of indigenous peoples to free, prior and informed consent?

Cultural Survival is a non-profit organization that partners with indigenous peoples to “protect their lands, languages and cultures and to fight against discrimination and abuse.”

Cultural Survival has created 20 radio spots, in English and Spanish, to inform indigenous communities worldwide about their right to free, prior, and informed consent concerning their lands, resources, livelihoods, and communities, as outlined in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.

The spots are freely available for download and ready for broadcast on radio stations worldwide.

Cultural Survival plans to translate the radio spots into different languages. If your radio station is interested in producing the radio spots in your local language, email Nicole Huang at nicole.huang@culturalsurvival.org [2], or phone on + 1 (617) 441-5400, extension 12, for transcripts and more details.
