October 15 is the International Day of Rural Women. It provides a chance for communities to assess how fifty per cent of their members are treated.
Every year, WWSF distributes an open letter to inspire women to stand up for their rights. This year’s theme is Claim your Right to Dignity and Education. You can read the letter at this link: http://www.woman.ch/uploads/15oct/WWSF-15oct2013-openLetter-en
There is a poster available, which you can use to highlight local activities to celebrate the Day. It is available for download here:http://www.woman.ch/uploads/15oct/WWSF-15oct2013-Poster.pdf
