The Fund for Investigative Journalism is now accepting applications for its next grant cycle. Candidates may apply for grants to fund investigative projects and books. The special focus in this cycle is on environmental and governmental accountability.

For more than forty years, the Fund for Investigative Journalism has supported work by reporters who lack the resources to make their own investigations, with grants ranging from US$500 to US$10,000. The Fund’s board not only chooses which applicants to help, but also provides guidance on pursuing stories and placing them with media outlets. The grants are open to international applicants.

Journalists who have questions about the application process are encouraged to contact executive director Sandy Bergo by email: fundfij@gmail.com.
