Free, online course: Reporting on climate change

BBC Media Action has created a free, online, self-paced course called Reporting on Climate Change. This course teaches journalists about the science behind climate change, how organizations and communities respond to climate change, and how journalists can effectively cover climate change stories. 

The course includes audio-visual material, short quizzes to test your knowledge, and interactive learning tools. It takes an estimated four hours and 45 minutes to complete. The course is self-guided, so participants can follow at their own pace.

  • Producing climate change stories for multiplatform
  • A solutions journalism approach
  • Audience-responsive journalism
  • Resources and further reading
