There’s no good radio without good audio. Quality recordings make the difference between captivating listening and annoying noise.

Audio quality is also important because your listeners may be driving, walking the streets, working in the field, or simply listening to an old rusty radio—and you want to ensure that they can clearly hear your program in each of these situations.

For example, if you aren’t using a microphone in the field and are simply using an audio recorder, try to plug in headphones so you can listen to the recording as your subject is talking.
