The International Women’s Media Foundation is offering two reporting fellowships, in Tanzania and Rwanda. Six journalists will be chosen to travel to Mwanza, in northern Tanzania, to report on rural and economic development, and six journalists will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, to cover civic engagement.

This opportunity is offered as part of the African Great Lakes Reporting Initiative. The initiative will offer more travel fellowships in the next two years.

On Nov. 30, past fellows will be answering questions on Twitter. Follow @IWMF for more information, and search for #IWMFfellow on Twitter.

The fellowships will take place in February 2017. Women journalists with three or more years of professional experience are eligible to apply.

The deadline is Dec. 6.
