Women journalists and broadcasters with an interest in health reporting, reproductive health, and development can apply to participate in a study tour through Women’s Edition. Women’s Edition is a project of the Population Reference Bureau.

Ten to 12 women journalists from sub-Saharan Africa will be selected to participate in a week-long seminar and study tour in April. During the seminar, the journalists will interact with health and development experts and attend editorial meetings. The journalists will be asked to produce at least one in-depth report or broadcast segment on reproductive health and development for their own media outlet.

To participate in the seminar, applicants should be able to communicate in English, though they may write or broadcast in any language. This opportunity is focused on journalists from Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 31.
