World Pulse has announced a call for applications for Voices of Our Future 2013. This is an online training program for emerging grassroots women leaders on new media, citizen journalism and empowerment.

World Pulse is an action media network dedicated to lifting and uniting women’s voices to accelerate their impact in the world.  This online training program aims to provide women with the mentoring, knowledge and skills they need to express their visions for change.

Applicants must join the Voices of Our Future Applicants Group on World Pulse’s community website by visiting: http://worldpulse.com/pulsewire/groups/63653 and completing a short survey before April 2, 2013.  The training will take place from April 2-29. Participants will be asked to complete four sets of learning modules and assignments during the course.

At the end of the program, 30 women will be chosen to participate as Correspondents in a five-month training program starting in June. World Pulse announces that Correspondents will receive training from renowned experts, mentoring and support from a personal Empowerment Mentor, and opportunities to connect with grassroots women leaders from around the globe.  Correspondents will also have opportunities to be published in World Pulse’s e-magazine and in the communications of partner organizations such as the Huffington Post and CNN iReport.
