Reuters Foundation training for journalists covering elections in Zambia

Reporters from Zambia who are reporting on the upcoming elections can apply to attend a Thomson Reuters Foundation course on fair, balanced, accurate, and timely election coverage.

The course is aimed at Zambian journalists based in Zambia who are responsible for covering the upcoming August elections for their organizations. Applicants should have at least two years experience covering current affairs and politics. Journalists from any medium are welcome to apply.
The training will cover writing skills, sourcing, ethics, and legal dangers. After the course, the Thomson Reuters Foundation will offer participants mentorship and help with stories.

The course runs from May 23-25, 2016 and will be held in Lusaka.

The application deadline is April 10, 2016.
