Reporters Without Borders Germany scholarship for digital journalist

Journalists around the world face challenges and threats as they work. Reporters Without Borders Germany is offering an opportunity to work on a project that will assist journalists who are facing repression in their home country.

The successful candidate will travel to Germany for two months, where they will receive in-depth digital security training and work with a host organization to accomplish their project. This opportunity is supported by Tactical Technology Collective.

The scholarship provides a stipend of $885 US per month, plus housing, insurance, travel to Germany, public transportation, and other necessary expenses.

To be eligible, candidates should have faced repression, threats, or harassment for their journalistic work; use digital technologies, and be afraid of surveillance in their home country or region. Applications must include a project proposal.

The deadline to apply is July 31.
