The Knight Center for Journalism is inviting interested journalists to register for a free online course about strategies for dealing with online harassment.

The course is titled “Online Harassment: Strategies for Journalists’ Defense.” It’s a self-directed course that journalists can complete for free at their own pace.

The course was created and is taught by four female journalists, and includes video classes, readings, exercises, and more. It is broken down into four main modules:

  • Introduction to online harassment
  • Understanding privacy
  • Trolls and their strategies
  • Digital security steps for online harassment

Enrollment for the course is ongoing. It can be completed at any time. The course is offered only in English.
