Prize for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life

    Prizes for Women’s Creativity in Rural Life are awarded by the Women’s World Summit Foundation(WWSF). They honour women and women’s groups around the world for their contributions toimproving the quality of life in rural communities.

    The Prizes aim to draw international attention to the winners’ contributions to sustainabledevelopment, household food security, and peace, thus generating more recognition and support fortheir projects.

    At least 20 prizes will be awarded, with cash awards ranging from $1,000 for individual women to$3,000 for women’s groups. Nominees should be women or groups of women currently active in rurallife, and whose efforts have not yet been acknowledged by other awards. Nominees must have showncourage or creativity in their approach, and have had a continuing impact on the community through improving rural life.
