Nieman Fellowship for Science Journalism

The Nieman Foundation for Journalism is offering a fellowship for science journalism, in collaboration with Harvard University. The fellowship offers journalists access to labs and research centres, networking opportunities, and the opportunity to take classes at several universities. Fellows will also receive a grant.

Science journalists from the United States and all over the world are eligible for the fellowship. Journalists covering any scientific topic—ranging from climate change to technology, health, medicine, or artificial intelligence—are welcome to apply.

Candidates must submit two essays, including a personal statement (1,000 words) and a proposed study topic (500 words).

Applications must be in English.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 1.
