New York University World Journalist Fellowship

Full-time journalists who are not US citizens can apply for a fellowship to pursue postgraduate studies at New York University’s Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. The fellowship covers tuition, fees, and a stipend for two semesters. Some NYU postgraduate programs require three or four semesters to complete.

Fellows will concentrate their studies in areas such as:

  • business reporting
  • cultural reporting and criticism
  • magazine writing
  • news and documentary production
  • science, health, and environmental reporting.

Candidates must:

  • hold a non-US passport
  • be fluent in English and at least one additional language
  • have at least two years of journalism experience
  • complete applications for both the fellowship and for admission to the M.A. program in Journalism
  • have a four-year undergraduate degree or a three-year undergraduate degree plus one year of graduate work.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 4, 2018.
