The Thomson Foundation is partnering with Mojofest to host a mobile journalism competition, now in its fifth year, that showcases mobile journalism (“mojo”) talent.
Applicants from around the world are invited to submit a feature story or news report that is filmed and edited entirely on a mobile device, and which excites, intrigues, surprises, and demonstrates impact and creativity. Submissions will be accepted in all languages, but must include English subtitles.
The first place winner will receive a return flight to Galway, Ireland, five-star accommodation, and tickets to Mojofest, a festival dedicated to mobile journalism from June 6-8, 2019.
Five runners-up will receive free access to broadcaster and digital innovator Glen Mulcahy’s advanced mobile journalism online course from Thomson’s Journalism Now program.
The deadline to apply is Friday, April 12, 2019. To apply online, visit: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdQQk3QGuTSNsKWTv56bIpl6FOpcdVi4wKiZY2wrtkmApdhEg/viewform?usp=send_form
