Print, web and radio journalists are invited to apply for the Middlebury Fellowships in Environmental Journalism!

The program at Middlebury College in Vermont, U.S.A. will accept ten journalists at the start of their careers. The journalists will receive support to plan and shape a year-long reporting project on the environment. Projects should centre on the human relationship with the physical world.

Fellows receive US$10,000 to help cover reporting and living expenses during the fellowship year. They meet together twice during the year, when professional journalists help participants with their stories. Applicants from outside the US are encouraged.

Applicants should write a two-to-three page letter describing their project idea and submit it before May 16, 2011.
