May 26-28, 2010: eLearning Africa conference on ICTs for development, education, and training

eLearning Africa, the African continent’s largest annual assembly on technology-enhanced learning, is celebrating its fifth anniversary. eLearning Africa 2010 will be held in Lusaka, Zambia, from May 26-28, 2010. The conference will include interactive workshops, demonstrations, panel discussions, and expert presentations on topics such as open educational resources, mobile learning, and teacher development.

The annual eLearning Africa Debate has become one of the highlights of the conference. This year the following motion is being put forward: Against the backdrop of a global financial crisis, can Africa afford to invest in ICTs for education? And if so, what systems are most appropriate and provide best value for money?

Like previous conferences, eLearning Africa 2010 will be conducted in both English and French. The cost for African nationals based in Africa is 270 Euros (about 365 American dollars); the cost for African students is 100 Euros (about 135 American dollars).
