The International Labour Organization is once again accepting entries for its global media competition. The competition aims to promote reporting on labour migration issues, ensuring greater public awareness about the contributions of migrant workers and contributing to the elimination of public misperceptions, xenophobia, and discrimination against migrant workers.

Written press, photo essays, multimedia, video, and radio are eligible. Stories must have been published or aired between Nov. 1, 2018, and Oct. 31, 2019. Entries in languages other than English, French, and Spanish must include a translation.

There are two themes:

  • Fair recruitment of migrant workers
  • The future of labour migration

The winners will be able to choose between a cash prize or a paid fellowship.

The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.
