The International Women’s Media Foundation is now accepting applications for the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship. This fellowship is seven months long and provides academic and professional opportunities to women and non-binary journalists who report on human rights and social justice.

Applicants should have at least three years of professional experience in journalism working in print, broadcast, or digital media—either as a staff journalist or as a freelancer. Journalists can be from any country to apply, but they must speak, read, and write English fluently.

The winner of the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship will complete research and coursework at MIT’s Center for International Studies, as well as journalism internships at The Boston Globe and The New York Times.

The fellowship will include a fixed monthly stipend to cover living costs, the cost of housing in Cambridge and New York, airfare, transportation, health insurance, and the cost of obtaining a US visa.

The deadline to apply to the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship is April 15, 2022.
