ICFJ Global Health Reporting Contest

Journalists and broadcasters are invited to submit their best reporting on maternal and child health, or other health topics, to the International Center for Journalists’ (ICFJ) Global Health Reporting Contest.  ICFJ and Johnson & Johnson will recognize the best media coverage from Brazil, China, India, Russia, and sub-Saharan Africa.

Winners will receive a cash prize and a 10-day study tour of the United States.

Journalists from each country must be employed by print, broadcast, or online media in order to qualify. Entries must have been published or aired between Feb. 1 and July 24, 2016. Entries can include feature stories, documentaries or investigative pieces, multimedia reports, or discussion programs.

Entries must be in English, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, or Hindi. Submissions in other languages must include an English translation.

Possible topics include: reducing maternal and child mortality; reducing disease transmission from mother to child; preventing malnutrition; improving delivery of care; and innovative approaches to the delivery of vaccines, including the response to the Ebola crisis.

The submission deadline is July 24.
