The International Women’s Media Foundation is inviting women journalists to apply for a reporting trip in Uganda, to take place in September. The African Great Lakes Reporting Initiative promotes reporting on issues beyond political instability, armed conflict, and humanitarian crisis. The six-day trip to Gulu, Uganda, will focus on environmental conservation.
Funding will be provided to cover visas, travel, lodging, and meals. Applications are due by June 15.
Applicants must be affiliated or freelance women journalists with at least three years of professional experience in journalism, working in print, broadcast, or digital media. All nationalities are welcome to apply. Fellows must have excellent written and verbal English skills in order to fully participate in and benefit from the program.
