The International Women’s Media Foundation (IWMF) is inviting female journalists working in print, broadcast, or online media to apply for the Elizabeth Neuffer Fellowship. The opportunity is named for the 1998 IWMF Courage in Journalism Award winner and Boston Globe correspondent who was killed in Iraq in May 2003.
The winner of the fellowship will receive a stipend and expenses (including airfare, housing, and health insurance) to spend an academic year in a program with access to MIT’s Center for International Studies and media outlets such as The Boston Globe and The New York Times.
Female journalists, including freelancers, with a minimum of three years of experience in journalism may apply. Applicants must have excellent written and verbal English skills.
The deadline to apply is Feb. 25, 2021.
