TVE is offering youth aged 18-30 the opportunity to report from the UN Climate Change conference in Poland in December 2018.
TVE is inviting youth to submit a video of up to three minutes in length, which can be filmed on a smartphone. The video should be in English or have English subtitles.
Videos should address one of two categories: responsible production and consumption; or green and climate-friendly jobs. These are linked to two of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 12 and SDG 8, respectively.
The deadline to enter the competition is Aug. 31. Public voting will decide the winner. For more information, go to: http://biomovies.tve.org/competitions/global-youth-video-competition/
TVE has a second competition open to all African journalists. The organization is seeking three-minute videos about new technologies that are being used to fight climate change.
Five winners will receive a cash prize of $500 US each and 10-20 top ideas will be included in TVE’s library of case studies.
The deadline for this competition is also Aug. 31. Learn more here: http://biomovies.tve.org/competitions/african-tech-for-good/
