The United Nations Convention on Climate Change will convene in Marrakesh, Morocco, in November, to follow up on the 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference. In Paris, countries signed a preliminary agreement to halt global warming.

Internews’ Earth Journalism Network is inviting journalists to apply for a reporting fellowship to attend the November summit. Fellows will cover the summit for their home media organization. They will also benefit from an orientation session, breakfast briefings, and most likely a field trip.

Privat Tiburce Massanga covered the 2015 conference for Barza Wire. Read his story.

Applicants must be professional journalists with a media organization and have a letter of support from their editor, producer, or station manager. Freelancers may apply, but must have a letter of support from a media organization indicating that their work will be published.

Applications are due July 8.
