SIGNIS is the World Catholic Association for Communication. The Association reports that, under the patronage of Vatican Radio, the SIGNIS Radio Competition 2013 is mobilizing media practitioners, educators, religious communities and young people all over the world to express their vision of a “Culture of Peace” by creating and submitting a short radio program.

Competition entries can reflect the work of one person, or be the result of group efforts in parishes, schools or communities. Entries will be published on the Vatican Radio website, and a selection of entries will be broadcast on the Vatican Radio’s English, French, Spanish and Portuguese channels.

The competition is open to all age groups. The competition theme is: “Media for a Culture of Peace: Creating Images with the New Generation.”

You must complete the entry form in order to submit an entry to the competition. You can find the entry form on the SIGNIS website at: http://www.signis.net/article.php3?id_article=5797[PR1]

Submissions should include a one-minute radio track in MP3 format. Individuals can submit one entry, while groups can submit three. Submissions may take any form: for example, news story, music, or commercial, and can be in English, French, Spanish or Portuguese (with Spanish transcript). One set of prizes, including radio and data storage equipment, will be awarded for each language.

Send your radio track in MP3 format by email to competitions@signis.net and include the entry form as an attachment to your email.

The submission deadline is December 10, 2013.
