Thomson Reuters Foundation is inviting skilled investigative, financial, or business journalists with at least two years of experience to apply for the Wealth of Nations program. The Reuters Foundation is offering the program in collaboration with institutions such as the African Centre for Media Excellence and The Institute for the Advancement of Journalism. Applicants can be based anywhere in Africa.
The selected journalists will take part in a long-term engagement that includes:
- intensive training on reporting illicit finance
- producing stories or investigations on illicit financial flows
- a mentoring support scheme to help produce the stories
Journalists must complete at least one story or investigation on illicit financial flows during the course of the engagement.
The deadline for applications is January 11, 2016.
