Call for applications: Stanford University Draper Hills Summer Fellowship on Democracy and Development

Journalists involved in their country’s economic and political development are invited to apply for a summer fellowship at Stanford University, California, USA.

The Draper Hills Summer Fellowship on Democracy and Development is a three-week program that brings together 25 to 30 mid-career professionals from the field of democracy, development, and the rule of law, especially those from developing countries.

The 2016 program will take place July 17 to August 5 in Stanford, California. The fellowship provides a forum for emerging leaders to connect, exchange experiences, and receive academic training through seminars, academic readings, and classroom-based curriculum.

Candidates must:

  • be at least 28 years of age at the start of the fellowship in July 2016
  • be actively working in the field of democracy, development, and the rule of law
  • have a solid command of written and spoken English (all program materials and sessions are in English.)

The fellowship covers travel, accommodation, living expenses, and visa costs.

The deadline to apply is November 18, 2015.
